'Kaboom!’ is a devastating slice of anguish and heartbreak, documenting the sudden breakdown of a relationship, evoking the feeling of confusion, shock and numbness from trying to make sense of what had happened.

The sounds and rhythms here are intensely executed, and by the track’s conclusion it has built toward an epic, many-layered conclusion that perfectly embodies the chaos of emotions that follow a break-up. “The metaphor of an explosion runs through this track,” explains Jay Wires. "The break-up left me devastated, so it felt like the right way to describe it."

‘Kaboom!’ is the title track from the forthcoming debut Jay Wires EP.
